And I
I'm dreaming of sleeping next to you and feeling like a lost little girl in a brand new town
I'm counting my sheep and each one that passes is another dream to ashes
And they all fall down.
And as I lay me down tonight
I close my eyes
What, what a beautiful sight
Sleeping to dream about you
And I'm so tired
Of having to live without you
But I don't mind
Sleeping to dream about you and I'm so tired
The angels drift ahead, watching over all below them and keeping them safe as best as they can. They walk amoung their sparkling kingdom of heaven, watching and waiting. They sing, they cry,and they little but so much. As for the ones that are righteous and true upon earth, the angels bless them. For one, other than the rest, she walks without purpose upon the island where so many had flocked before her. No,she was no perfect seraph that claimed herself a fallen grace from above. She was little more than a mare, mortal and unique. She trod on through the lands,as silent as a grave and moving like mist. This newcomer was searching for something, for someone. Yet she did not know what. So she stepped into the lands that her heart lead her hooves to,and looked about with dull curiousity. Where was she?
This mysterious mistress moved into the stretching fields of snow covered secrets. She saw others, scattered about alone or with another. Apparently, this was the land where mares such as herself came to get claimed by a worthy stallion that lead a fair herd. Watching as a few of the other loners walked off with new leaders, she wondered if any had noticed her yet. Perking her harks, she listened to the calls that some of her fellows made in hopes to attract the attention of the steeds that wandered in and our of these fields in search for new members. She was given the chance yet to judge any of the herd commanders, but hoped she would soon. It was cold and lonely out here, and she didn't plan on staying on her own for the rest of the winter. It was riskey and out right stupid. Just as she began to ponder what a dark brute might do her if her caught her alone, her belly rumbled in hunger. So,she lowered her kissers and began to snuffle through the snow for a few bites of wilted grass. Or,something to ease her growing hunger pain.
I found myself in the riches
Your eyes, your lips, your hair and you were everywhere
I woke up in the ditches, I hit the light and I thought you might be here
But you were nowhere (you were nowhere)
Well You were nowhere
And as I lay me back to sleep
Lord I pray that I can keep
Sleeping to dream about you
And I'm so tired
Of having to live without you
But I don't mind
Sleeping to dream about you and I'm so tired
"There's no food around here. Ah well,I guess I can wait."
The grumbled words slipped from the czaress's jowls after she had raised them from the snow with no bits of grass. Heaving a sigh, she moved her ruby bodice a few feet from where she had been searching to another area she felt comfortable in. Somehow, she didn't feel threatened or vunerable, even though she was a big chestnut mare in the middle of an ivory scene. Shoot, she stuck out like a sore thumb. Raising her tiara a bit,she smiled in amusement at her own joke. Not many lights seemed to be left within these fields. So,did that make her special? Laughing merrily, she began to prance about in tight circles. Why,I guess she was.
The fun lasted loner,as she began to buck and squeel while playing in the snow. The crystaline flakes still fell, and the crimson robin frolicked about like a filly. Then,a small sound was caught in her alert audios, and she stopped immedietly. Looking about, there seemed no one near by. That is,besides the trees. Gaze lingered upon the small group of willows about fifty yards away, and suddenly tension took her frame. Muscles bunched up and tightened, ready to spring away if danger pounced forth. Fearfully, she parted her kissers and spoke in a shakey tone.
"Hello!? Is anyone there?"
When no answer came soon enough, the maiden remembered that she did not like winter. So,falling into a weary state, she watched the tree line closely and sulked. Stupid winter and the cold. Why couldn't it be her season? Why couldn't the world just hurry up and make it summer? You might woner why she calls it her season. Well, because she is named from it. I guess you now know her as..
Summer's Eve.
It's just a little a lullaby to keep myself from crying myself to sleep at night
Oh just a lullabye to keep from crying myself to sleep
Oh just a, just oh, just a little lullabye,
Sleeping to dream about you
And I'm so tired
Of having to live without you
And I'm so tired
Sleeping to dream about you
And I'm so tired
Of having to live without you
But I don't mind
Sleeping to dream about you and I'm so tired
Well I'm so, I'm tired
I'm falling, I'm so tired, I'm so tired
I'm dreaming of sleeping next to you and feeling like a lost little girl in a brand new town
I'm counting my sheep and each one that passes is another dream to ashes
And they all fall down.
And as I lay me down tonight
